Yessica is a fourth-generation producer from Pitalito. After taking courses at SENA (Colombia’s state-sponsored vocational training), she made the decision to continue in the family’s tradition, but move more in the direction of specialty coffee. Together with her brother, Diego, they founded Diwan Coffee, and three years ago they were able to partner with two friends to purchase their first farm, El Mirador; this harvest marks its first export. The quality of their work is really quite impressive, and we have utmost confidence that this will be the first of many coffees that we partner on.
