Joyabaj – Guatemala

Meaning "place between stones," Joyabaj wet mill serves the indigenous producers surrounding the town of San Martin Jilotepeque.  Founded in 2021, they've taken up the initiative of expediting cherry from the respective farms (so as to maximize effective yield), while also working with producers to improve practices and efficiency - all in an effort to increase revenue for prducers and thus stymie migration to otherwise more lucrative regions.
